Congratulations to Freedom Green on receiving an NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral MD/PhD Fellowship (F30). Her project, “Neurological Sequelae of Chikungunya Virus Infection in a Genetically Susceptible Mouse Model,” will investigate the long-term neurological consequences of chikungunya virus infection. This prestigious fellowship will provide support for Freedom’s research and physician-scientist training through the completion of her doctoral studies and final two years of medical school. We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting milestone in her MD/PhD training.
