Ashley joined the Baxter Lab as a Research Assistant after several years of research experience at Texas Biomed. She earned her Associate of Science in Biology from Alamo Colleges and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She has experience conducting infectious disease research in BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratory settings, supporting studies involving bacterial and viral pathogens through animal models, cell culture, and antiviral research. Ashley is passionate about advancing translational research that improves preparedness against emerging infectious diseases.
Outside of the lab, Ashley enjoys playing rugby, gardening, and spending time with her fur babies.
