Research Focus
Dr. Goez is primarily focused on research involving filovirus induced disease which is highly lethal to humans and for which there are no FDA approved vaccines or therapies. Currently, she participates in animal studies that support well characterize models of human disease. Animal studies involving filoviruses are conducted in the maximum containment biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratory which permits safe study of those pathogens.

Dr. Goez graduated from the University of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia and has since been active in scientific research.
