Nadeen Abdalla

As a biomedical engineering senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Nadeen Abdalla interned at Texas Biomedical Research Institute as part of the Shtanko lab. Throughout this opportunity, Nadeen developed a better understanding of virology and also gained genuine insight into its synergy with biomedical engineering. Virology intersects with biomedical engineering in aspects such as designing technologies for diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccine delivery.

Nadeen is excited about her future contributions to the field of tissue engineering. Her goal is to advance knowledge within this field, such as bioprinting, to make a difference in areas such as regenerative medicine.
