Research Bio
With a focus on deterministic and stochastic modeling techniques, I am generally intrigued by mathematical modeling in the fields of immunology, epidemiology, and ecology. Both the population and within-host level dynamics of disease transmission are of interest to me in my research.
My present work is on investigating the immune response to infectious diseases and developing mathematical models of the dynamics within hosts for pathogens such as SIV/HIV and Ebola virus. Some key aspects of my research are fitting models to clinical and experimental data, developing and evaluating different modeling frameworks, and assessing models to determine which ones best capture observed biological patterns.
