2nd year PhD student

Lidia Cervantes is a second-year graduate student in Dr. Ross’s lab, as a part of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences PhD Program at UT Health San Antonio. In 2021, she earned her B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in conservation ecology at New Mexico State University. She contributed to published research regarding anoxia and starvation in the alfalfa leaf-cutting bee. Her current scientific interests include marmoset aging, the gut microbiome, and parental/infant relationships. In her free time, she enjoys activities that involve nature, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
