The Martinez-Sobrido BSL-4 team established a reverse genetics system for Bundibugyo virus (BDBV) and rescued a recombinant ZsGreen-expressing virus derived from the strain responsible for the 2026 outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (A). This recombinant virus enabled the development of fluorescence-based assays for high-throughput antiviral screening and identification (B).
