Ashley Gay-Cobb
Ashley Gay-Cobb holds an Associate’s degree in Biology and has extensive research experience in infectious disease, virology, and the use of animal models to study high-consequence pathogens. She began her career in veterinary infectious disease research involving animal models, later contributing to laboratory studies focused on sample processing, pathogen co-infections, and emerging respiratory diseases. She has also gained experience in biochemical assays and preclinical research using small animal models, and now works in a virus research laboratory investigating emerging infectious diseases. Her research interests include host–pathogen interactions, immune responses in co-infection models, and bridging public health and scientific research to inform prevention, control, and community engagement strategies.
