Kennedy is a genomics biologist with broad interests in genetics. His graduate research examined how environmental conditions interact with gene regulation to shape behavior. He currently investigates the transcriptional consequences of hybridization in Schistosome parasites, applying genomics to reveal how introgression and genome conflict influence parasite biology and disease transmission.
