Kathrin JUTZELER, PhD - Kathrin graduated with her Ph.D. in April 2024 and completed a postdoc in the Anderson Lab from July 2024 to October 2024. Her Ph.D. research, conducted in the Anderson Lab, focused on the impact of schistosome genetic variation on immunopathology in mice. During her Ph.D., she received training in genetics, immunology, and bioinformatics. Kathrin is now an Associate Variant Curation Scientist at GeneDX.
- Stephanie NORDMEYER, PhD - Stephanie graduated with her Ph.D. in December 2024. Her doctoral research, conducted in the Anderson Lab, focused on the interactions between the Biomphalaria snail host microbiome and Schistosoma mansoni parasites, as well as the potential genetic determinants influencing the snail microbiome's composition. During her Ph.D., she gained extensive training in genetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.

Winka LE CLEC'H , PhD - Staff Scientist II & BSL2 Program Manager - Winka is an evolutionary and molecular biologist with expertise in studying the genetic basis of snail host/ Schistosoma parasite interactions, including drug resistance, host specificity, parasite transmission, and virulence. She is also interested in deciphering the potential impacts of the snail microbiome on parasitic interactions. Winka has been part of the Anderson Lab for nearly 12 years, starting as a postdoc and later serving as a Staff Scientist, where she contributed to establishing the Schistosoma parasite/snail host BSL2 lab. She also leads the Texas Biomed Institutional Journal Club. Winka is now serving as the BSL2 Research Resource Program Manager at Texas Biomed. | Google scholar | ORCID ID | LinkedIn | ResearchGate |
