Fred’s research focuses on the genetics of the schistosome (blood fluke) parasites to understand their life history including; transmission traits (host specificity, larval production, chronobiology) and drug resistance. He’s also investigating the microbiome of the snail vectors of schistosome in relation to schistosomes infection/transmission.
