Winka is an evolutionary and molecular biologist with expertise on studying genetic basis of snail host/schistosome parasite (human blood fluke) interactions including drug resistance, host specificity, parasite transmission and virulence. She’s also interested in deciphering the potential impacts of snail microbiome on parasitic interactions.
She is also responsible for maintaining the Anderson Lab website.
