Xue isa computational biologist specialized in statistical, bioinformatic and population genetic data processing and analysis.Her research focuses on malaria parasite genetics and population genomics. She also uses bulk segregant analysis on parasite crosses conducted with humanized mice to understand spread of malaria drug resistance alleles under intense selection, and patterns of the parasite transmission.
