From April 7–9, Tim Anderson attended the British Society for Parasitology Spring Meeting in Glasgow.
During the meeting, Tim presented two talks highlighting ongoing research in the lab. His first talk focused on schistosomes, “Surveillance for praziquantel resistance in African schistosome populations,” addressing efforts to monitor emerging drug resistance. His second presentation covered malaria research, “Genetic crosses using fluorescent labelled malaria parasites indicate advantages of outcrossing in Plasmodium falciparum,” showcasing new insights into parasite genetics and transmission.
This meeting provided a great opportunity to share our work with the international parasitology community and to engage in discussions on current challenges in parasite biology and control.
